China to build stadium in Ivory Coast

China will finance the construction of a 60,000-seat stadium in Ivory Coast in time for the country's hosting of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The new venue will be located in Abidjan, with work beginning in January 2016 and taking two years to complete.

An Ivorian sports ministry spokesman said it was "a gift from China".

Frankie Dettori wins on Christophermarlowe at Epsom

The unbeaten Christophermarlowe made it three wins from three with victory in the Investec Derby Trial at Epsom.

Davy Condon forced to retire after Grand National injury

Davy Condon has retired after being advised by a doctor to never ride again because of the risk of causing further damage to his spine.

The Irish jockey fell from Portrait King during the Grand National at Aintree earlier in April.
